Philip wondered why Peter did not use haylage to feed his horses instead of hay. Peter's reply was if he could find a supplier who produced a consistent quality product at the right price he would, but having lost a horse to botulism a number of years previously after using 'haylage' supplied by a local farmer he was very reluctant to try again.
